01 November 1998Knightlow Web Site takes shape

At the beginning of November 1998 the www.knightlow.com website

was born. As a venture into information technology it is quite a step

from posting notices on every telegraph pole and delivering leaflets to

every house but it is an experiment to see how the technology can be

used to aid the local community. The first community to go online will be

Stretton on Dunsmore closely followed by Ryton on Dunsmore. The

costs are presently being underwritten by a local computing

consultancy - Digital Techniques Ltd but it is hoped that commercial

sponsors and advertisers will take an active part as well. This site is a

community resource, a notice board for all to see, so use it as you will.
