AIM OF THE SCHOOL

The aim of this school is to provide education of quality and depth in a Christian environment, which develops happy, caring and confident children with enquiring minds.

As a Church of England Aided School we aim to educate your children in the Christian values and attitudes which will give them strength and reason for the whole of their lives. The school uses every opportunity to promote Christian beliefs and to develop an awareness of other faiths. Children experience worship both in school and in the community.

These lines express our expectations for the learning and life of a child:

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.

If a child lives with hostility he learns to fight.

If a child lives with ridicule he learns to be shy.

If a child lives with shame he learns to be guilty.

If a child lives with tolerance he learns to be patient.

If a child lives with encouragement he learns confidence.

If a child lives with praise he learns to appreciate.

If a child lives with security he learns faith.

If a child lives with approval he learns to like himself.

If a child lives with experience and friendship he learns to give love to the world.

Our school behaviour code, which the children are expected to embrace, encapsulates these aspects in the words

Knightlow Children

are kind and friendly

are sensible and helpful

are careful

are polite and respectful
