Dear Parents

Apologies, the first two items of this newsletter should have been included in Newsletter number 7

CYCLING COURSE
A Cycling Awareness Course will be run next term for 10 year olds - more details will be issued after half term. Please look out for the forms if you are interested.
In the meantime, there is a training course for parental volunteers, run by Warwickshire County Council. The course dates are Saturday 12, 19 February or 04 March. Two parents are booking 04 March Course date, so if you would like to join them (or attend another date), please give your name to Mr Hillman or contact Mrs Welch by Friday 04 February so that we can book places.

MILLENNIUM DINNER
URGENT - To all KSA committee members - you should have recently received a letter asking for various items. If you can loan any for the night, please bring them to school ASAP (or let Krysia know) so that we can assess what equipment we are short of. The items most desperately needed are: small jam jars, trays, salt and pepper (filled), serving spoons, cold boxes and over proof serving dishes. In addition we need 20 wooden cheese boards and sharp or cheese knives.

NETBALL
The netball team represented Knightlow recently at Binley Woods Primary School and although we lost the match, the girls gained considerable enjoyment from their experience. Centre court play was particularly fast and furious and the teams were very evenly matched with Knightlow being unlucky on more than one occasion in their efforts at scoring. The team representatives were: Laura Bell, Rachel Harris, Francesca Edwards, Joanna Welch, Emma Davies, Charlotte Casserley, Emma Cox, Emily Osborne

FOOTBALL
Binley Woods Primary School provided the opposition as the school football season recommenced last Wednesday. It was a very cold and foggy evening when the ice that hung from the goal nets was little troubled by the ball.
Both goal keepers played extremely well and kept the score to an honourable one all draw despite many good attempts from both sides.
The Knightlow squad was Craig Burrin, David Stephens, Ross Elward, Neil Wotton, Stuart Cooper, Marcus Powell, Sam Thompson and Tom Curtis.
